The maximum total concurrency level for all user-defined queues, not including the reserved Superuser queue, is 50. The decision of where to put a query is independent of how busy a queue is queries are allocated based on the rules you've set up: A query arrives and is designated to the "less loaded" queue, and it waits for its turn to be resolved. I think your understanding of query queues is a little off.Ī queue is like a thread in Java. So, if we have understood correctly, having that some viewes make up to 25-28 queries, and the total amount of loading time is around 60s, how can we leave the settings the queries can be resolved faster? We have tried to have 3 queues, each one with concurrecy 5, but performance still slow. The more concurrency a queue has, the less memory in each query slot it has. It's related to concurrency as we understood it. By default is 5.Īnd a query slot is the amount of memory a query can use. But in short-term, that's a lot of classification work in our queries we can't do right now.Ī concurrency is the amount of queries that a queue can run in parallel. In a queue we can assign user groups or queries groups. A queue has some memory allocated (we guess divided equally?) We have understood this:Ī queue is like a thread in Java. There are 3 main things to take into account: query slots, concurrency and queues. That redshift by default receive 5 queries at same time, but that is a setting we can change. So we have prepared the necessary queries for each view to be run parallel from our EC2 app machine, to our Redshift DWH, and run the threads but views still take long to load, sometimes even longer. Some views were taking more than a minute to finish queries and load the info in screen, so we decided to use threads in Java and make the queries asynchronous. The backend is built in Java Server Faces (JSF), and before, the queries were made lineal. We are building a business intelligence system, and we have a huge PostgreSQL Database (DB) where we make all the info processing, and a Redshift Data Warehouse (DWH) where we store the data and execute queries. Some systems are designed for use in wet areas, but for safety reasons, these installs are best left to the pros. Radiant heating can go underneath any type of tile and in most indoor areas. There are numerous advantages to installing heated floors in your home. Hydronic systems cost about $6 per square foot, but they’re an economical way to heat your home for years. The system should be functional before any tiling goes in. These heating controls should be placed on their own zone and must be hooked up by a licensed HVAC contractor. Get Quotes Instantly from Local Flooring Pros The tiles will maintain their temperature for 8-10 hours so they will stay warm even when they’re off.Įlectrically heated tile is a perfect choice for additions, and a fantastic way to supplement your home’s heating system. Your electric company can advise you on the precise timing. You can recoup some money by installing the mats yourself, but a licensed electrician needs to hook up the wires.Īnother way to conserve cash is to charge your radiant flooring during off-peak hours. This system is straightforward and simple to put down. They start at around $400 for 10 square feet of coverage.Įlectrical mats can be expensive to buy, but the installation costs are minimal. Some online retailers sell a complete kit that includes everything you’ll need to install this system. You’ll also have to invest in a separate thermostat and a monitor. Rolls come premeasured by square footage so you can define how much you’ll need before you buy. Layering tile over the mats is simple, as the mortar will penetrate the mesh and adhere to the subfloor. You can cut the mats along the mesh to navigate around obstacles such as vanities or cut-outs. Most brands come with double-sided tape that sticks to your subfloor without glue. There’s debate over which is better, but the decision comes down to what works best in your home.Įlectric radiant flooring often comes in preassembled mesh rolls of assorted sizes. You can use either method with ceramic, porcelain and even stone tiles. One uses electric heat, while the other connects to your burner through a series of hoses. There are two types of radiant flooring systems. It’s also a wonderful way to boost your home’s resale value and energy efficiency. Has the latest polar vortex left you wondering how much it would cost to install heated tile in your home? This flooring has been around since the Romans and is gaining popularity among renovators. His top priority was ensuring we ended up in a house that met our personal and financial goals. We were buying in an extremely tough market. He sought to understand our requirements and immediately got to work. His approach is thorough, respectful, yet aggressive. ★★★★★ “ Before working with Dan we had worked with two other realtors, however the bar was raised as soon as we met Dan. I would highly recommend him to any prospective buyers or sellers - he treats each client as though they are his number one priority. He truly loves real estate and that enthusiasm shines through. We were looking for a house in a very competitive market, but Dan eased that process by being prompt, clear, and communicative. He was vital in helping us navigate these new waters and patiently answered our endless questions. ★★★★★ “ My fiancé and I worked with Dan when buying our first home. It seems like a dream because it went so smoothly, all thanks to Dan. We would get updates frequently, and he guided us throughout the whole process. We absolutely loved working with him for the purchase of our first house! From that first email, through many (MANY) phone conversations, Dan was attentive and quick to answer all of our questions. ★★★★★ “ Dan was so wonderful to work with from start to finish. We were on a short timeline in a very challenging market. ★★★★★ “ Great experience working with Dan. We would wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend Dan to anyone interested in buying or selling a home. It was clear to us from the beginning that this was more than just a job to Dan, and when we eventually settled on a great house, we felt like he was almost as excited as we were. We bought our home in the spring of 2022 - a challenging time to buy or sell a home, with lots of competition in the market, rising interest rates, and a great deal of general uncertainty - and we were so glad to have had Dan by our side throughout the process. Dan was always ready to meet us for a viewing or conversation, and he consistently showed up with a smile. He was professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He expertly guided us (as first time home-buyers) throughout the entire process, from our initial discussion about our priorities to seeing homes, discussing strategy, making offers, and closing on our new home. ★★★★★ “ Dan Schwartz was fantastic to work with. thoughts were echoed by the attorney handling my father's estate - he said he would rate Dan the highest of any realtor he has worked with. Dan is by far the best realtor I have ever dealt with - he is professional, knowledgeable and of high integrity. I have bought and sold 8 homes over the last 25 years. Especially noteworthy was his helpfulness - he went above and beyond to make the process smooth and easy for us. I give Dan the highest rating for all of the above categories and wish there was a rating above excellent. He worked closely with me and the contractor through the entire renovation process to make sure things were satisfactorily progressing. Dan worked with us to find an architect, contractor (and he met them with us). Dan's knowledge of the market conditions, return on investment and time frame in completing the work were instrumental in helping us decide what renovations should be done. The house was quite outdated and needed renovations and updating prior to listing.
